Las Bordes is situated outside the town of Beauville (3-4 minutes by car). The town has a restaurant (highly recommended) with summer balcony seating, a creperie and bar, chemist, tourist information, part time bank with cash point, bakers, butchers and small general shop.

The nearest small town with an active bank is Laroque Timbout (known as Laroque). There is also a restaurant and an 8 to 8 shop.

The nearest large town with supermarkets, a range of shops and restaurants is Villneuve sur Lot about 20 minutes away by car. Beauville is in the Bastide area and sits high above the Lot Valley and its surrounding countryside affording views of rolling hills and fields of sunflowers.

Things to do:

Horse-riding - there are excellent stables for trekking or lessons around 20 minutes away. Golf - Villeneuve Golf & Country Club is 30 minutes by car. Lakes - Beauville has twin lakes - one for swimming and one for fishing. Wine tasting - The Lot Valley has some of the best vineyards in France (180 AOC Cahors vineyards) and all in easy range for a days tasting! In addition the Office de Tourisme in Beauville always has all the latest information on local activities & tourist attractions.
